Trial Time

Hey everybody!

I was so excited when this finally came through the post from Loreal! These are a mixture of things I have wanted to try for so long. I have put them off because I wanted to do some good research on the products before getting them and needed to be sure what colour/ products to go for before 100% committing!

But, today I received them through the post and I am so so so excited to try them all!

Look at them beauties.

The first product is the Touche Eclat by YSL. I have heard a lot of good things about this for contouring, highlighting and even for creating a lip ombre. I was mainly attracted to this product because it is the first pinky tone highlighter I have found that doesn’t stay pink on the face! When I have used concealers in the past I have found that they are either a really bright white or yellow or they are a pink that actually looks like a cream blusher when it goes on. This one, when I tried it in a Boots in Canterbury, I found is much more of a pink undertone that highlights (a bit like Benefits High Beam) rather than just staying pink but still has this gorgeous creamy texture.

The next product is Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector which is the only product I hadn’t researched- I just thought it sounded really nice. I was confused as to whether this was like a make up primer or more of a skincare product. After I read the back and done a bit more research into it today I have found out it is like the last step to a skincare routine before applying make up but you can still use a primer on top of it. I am very excited to see how this one turns out as I do sometimes think too many products can make your face feel really cakey. Fingers crossed I have found the solution!

The next product is the Loreal smoothing resurfacing primer. I have never used this but my sister and my Mum are absolutely obsessed! It was actually the first primer I ever tried in a drugstore- before this one I had never even heard of a primer. I tried a tiny amount on my hand and I love the feeling of it! It has such a smooth outcome on the skin so I really hope it works well as a base.

The Nudes by Maybelline is a bit of a hit and miss product. I’m not sure what this pallet will be like because it is on the slightly cheaper side and although I do sometimes feel like you are just paying for the brand name for some products I do think eyeshadows are better the more expensive they are. I’m going to do an eyeshadows favourite blog in a couple of days and shall include my thoughts on this pallet after using it! The colours are really beautiful though!

This next product is something I have been DYING to try for so so so long- the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer! The bottle is gorgeous and I have read so many good things about this product that I am ready to try it myself! The main thing that drew me to this concealer is the fact that it advertises not falling into creases- I have big eyes and sometimes concealer falling into the creases around them is a major issue.

Last, but not least, the Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate. This product is something that has been on my To Buy list for ages. The main reason I wanted this bad boy is because the SMELL! It is a gorgeous smell of ginger and anything that smells like ginger I have just GOT to have. I think it would work really really well with my Super Facialist vitamin C cleansing oil because they both have really refreshing smells to wake me up in the morning. I have a feeling this one will definitely make the July Favourites blog!

Well that’s everything, let me know in the comments if you use any of these and what you thought of them!

It’s always fun to try new goodies! I hope you’ll like what you received.
I got the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer and I absolutely hated it! I found it really drying and did not look “naked” on my skin. Worst of all, it oxidizes really badly. See my review of it here:

It’s too bad because it came highly recommended! I hope your experience is better than mine.
